The Second Week

We’re kicking off the second week of performances at McKinney Repertory Theatre. The crowd wasn’t quite as large or boisterous as last week, but we still had a great showing with over 100 people in the audience. Our parents were there to cheer for us tonight along with friends and other family members. Once again, thanks to all of you for coming out to support us. It’s especially fun to perform for you and see you enjoying the show!

Tonight was my father-in-law’s birthday so I decided to have some fun and use him as my audience “victim” during the opening monologue. If you’ve seen the show, you probably know what I mean. If you haven’t, then come see the show this weekend — Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm in downtown McKinney.

After the show tomorrow night, we’re having dinner with the playwright, Whitney Ryan Garrity. He’s in town for a Question & Answer session with the audience after the 2:00 pm matinee performance of Hartburn Hotel on Sunday, July, 19. He will take audience questions on being a playwright. And for a behind the scenes point of view, check out this article in the McKinney Courier-Gazette featuring a Q&A with the leading man in my life, Gary.
