Unreal

The countdown has started! It’s not a dream or an illusion. It’s not only a name on the list of places I want to visit. It is real. I’m doing it. Yes, I’m really going. In a few days, I will be in Israel! Even though the trip is rapidly approaching, I still find it hard to fathom that my feet will actually tread in the same city where Jesus lived and walked. It’s unbelievable.

I’ve always wanted to go to Jerusalem. It’s #1 on the list of places I want to visit before I die. All of my life I’ve heard stories about this land and it’s people. Now I get to go there. I’ll be visiting the city where Jesus was born and the city where He died. All I can say is “wow!”

Much has changed since the time when Jesus walked the earth, but I don’t care. It’s still sacred to me. It’s still a place of mystery and intrigue.
