Weekend in Review

Even though it passed all too quickly, this shaped up to be a terrific weekend:

  • Friday — Studio Movie Grill and the new James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace.
  • Saturday — Lexi’s volleyball tournament. The undefeated “socks” continued their winning streak and took first place at the championship tournament! The last game was close, but they came back and won by two points. Congrats to all the girls!
  • Saturday evening — Shopping, need I say more?
  • Sunday morning — Anthony Mangun preached at ALC, and it was an amazing service. Our youth group came back from their retreat fired up and renewed, three people were baptized, and God moved in a real and meaningful way. We’ve been through tough times, but I’m convinced that God is using the trials to make us stronger and to draw us closer to Him. He is amazing!
  • Sunday afternoon — Plano Dog Park. We’ve been neglecting our dogs lately, so we decided to take them to the dog park to play with other four legged friends. For them, it’s like going to Disneyland. They love it.
  • Sunday evening — Cowboys vs. Redskins. Tony Romo is back, and we finally got a win! It wasn’t pretty, but at this point, I’ll take whatever I can get.

I’m not quite ready for the work week to begin, but it’s rapidly approaching whether I’m ready or not. It’ll be busy, but the great thing is that it will bring us closer to the holiday season and a much needed break.

Have a great week!
