Our hotel, the historic Willard on Pennsylvania Ave right by the White House.  It was built in 1816 and has hosted every President since Zachary Taylor.  It's where Julia Howe wrote "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and where MLK wrote his "I Have a Dream Smithsonian Castle Capital Building

Executive Offices...there were snipers on top of the building when we were there.  Obama was having a cabinet meeting across the street.  Secret service was there, and everything was blocked off. The other side of the White House National Treasury Building

Inside the halls of the Library of Congress Library of Congress...in the case is the Giant Bible of Mainz, a handwritten Bible. The main lobby of the Library of Congress...you couldn't take pictures in the reading room.

Washington Harbor in Georgetown Washington Harbor...was jealous of the wakeboarders!  Would've liked to join them. :) We took a boat tour of the Potomac River...this is the view of the famous Watergate complex from the river.
Rainbows!  The pot of gold is at the Kennedy Center! The original entrance to the city.  Dignitaries would get off the boats here, go up the steps, and get in a horse drawn carriage for their ride to the capital or the white house Arlington drawbridge

Outside of the house across the street from Ford's Theatre.  This is where Lincoln died after being shot in the theatre. Lobby of the Holocaust Museum...no pictures were allowed inside the permanent exhibit. The state box at Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was shot.
