Let me know what you think when you read it. It changed my perspective...although I have to be honest that I'm still struggling with my "cheating" problem. It's so easy to relapse into old habits, but I'm trying to improve. :)

That book is sitting on our kitchen table. The one we never eat on because it's covered with homework, bills, magazines and other things that need to be organized. I believe "the knowing" is a good start to getting things in order. So many folks are caught up in things that they don't see how they are cheating. However, as you pointed out, even being aware of the issue doesn't always lead to immediate solutions.

Randy Pausch made some statement about obstacles being a necessary part of finding our true desires. I read on Jeff's Hennigan's blog a while back that the folks that wanted to be at church were there. It was then I realized that we have the ability to prioritize our lives. It's not a matter of NOT making excuses, it's a matter of actually making a choice.

Thanks for reminding me I have a book to read, and it's sitting on my kitchen table.

I admire your desire to get back into intimacy with God. I think work and family do tend to collide, but it could even be our work for God at times.

May you really choose to live out Matthew 6:33 and experience its reality in your life.
